There is simply no other business with manufacturing capital entry requirements as low as motion pictures, where the potential return can be nearly unlimited over the short, medium and long terms; and when implemented, Film and television productions offer a significant economic and cultural benefit to the locations in which they are produced.

Mike The Pike Films, LLC was formed by
Mark B. Newbauer and his sister,
Beth Newbauer to develop and implement high quality independent films while maintaining an anti-excess philosophy; allowing them to be made for less money while generating potential profit margins of successful larger-budgeted major studio films. This is accomplished in many ways including internal measures toward increasing production value thus maximizing production dollars. One way we accomplish this is by filming ‘on location’ and utilizing and harvesting local resources and businesses while utilizing top industry relationships in Los Angeles, California, the hub of the entertainment industry today.

The focus begins with a particular interest in the Midwest United States where legislation in Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky are putting incentives to action that benefit their communities and economies while developing, long-term, a fixed industry which previously was concentrated in larger cities exclusively where inflated costs and services have resulted in products that are not conducive to consistent profitability.

Mike The Pike Films, LLC will not only match, but strive to supersede studio product in regards to content, budget and margin; creatively and aggressively harvesting available resources and communities to maintain production at the ‘independent’ budget level while implementing the works of highly talented, marketable and experienced casts and crews. In addition our backgrounds in marketing, public relations and finance keep our focus on the big picture. Our films are ‘Mainstream Independent’, combining the well-structured screenplay with visionary talent that challenges current standards while maintaining mass appeal. We believe our strategy will be entertaining, profitable and compelling.

Further, Mike The Pike Films aims to set an example in a highly profitable industry in committing to donate a percentage of Producer profits on our films to foundations and organizations we believe to be progressive and beneficial to our global community.
